Whilst the Ducato may have many things in common with its Peugeot and Citroen equivalents, the 2.3-litre unit is one piece of Ducato tech that isn't shared. 65 devon Nov 14, 2017 #1 Looking at upgrading our camper van to a Timberland Destiny XI based on the 2009 2.3 120 multijet. Any glaring problems to look out for? Have the gearbox issues which plagued my old 1999 model been sorted? Clutch? Mystery electronic problems? 1. Nov 19, 2020. #1. Hello everybody. I hope you all have better day than me. I'm in the middle of dispute with a trader who sold me a 2.3 ducato from 2014 which appears to be clocked by a significant number of miles. I suspect that the engine has been swapped due to its state which is rather poor in comparison to other components under the bonnet.
