On its own and completely isolated from the Arkham series, Gotham Knights doesn't do a good job doing what it set out to do. When you add in the inevitable and honestly completely reasonable expectation that it would at least be as good as the Arkham series, it is no small wonder why Gotham Knights has been struggling to say the least.
Short answer, no. Gotham Knights is not canon to the beloved Arkham Games franchise. It’s strange because it DOES tie into the game slightly by taking place when Bruce Wayne dies. Gotham Knight's and the Batman Arkham series utilize two very different versions of Batgirl's character, despite maintaining a shared identity. Batgirl frequently appears throughout Batman mythos, usually as the secret identity of Barbara Gordon, but Gotham Knights and the Batman Arkham series handle the character very differently. Imagine having to go to arkham to find out that everyome has escaped to gotham and theres a list of everyone who has escaped. Or a message from comissioner gordon to batgirl saying all these inmates have escaped and robin, nightwing and red hood come in to frame and we enter gotham that way. That would be cool. The latest trailer for Rocksteady's Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League potentially reveals that Poison Ivy survived the events of Batman: Arkham Knight.Whereas WB Games Montréal's upcoming Gotham Knights game takes place in its own universe, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a continuation of the Arkhamverse series, meaning that it's set in the same continuity as the Batman Even then, Gotham Knight looks visually bad, the animation nd hit impact does not look convincing nd pleasing to the eyes, it looks so poorly put together, nd its such a wasted game, cuz i waited long after arkham knight for the next batman game.
