DARK SOULS™ III. [DARK SOULS 3] "Fix" to FPS drops in some areas. There is a lot of "fixes" out there for this problem, but the real thing is that this game uses a lot of VRAM (videocard memory) in some areas and if you dont have the recommended videocard u will experience fps drops. The only way to "fix it" if u have a low/mid-end 2gb Step 2: Download AMD settings from the official AMD site. (in case if you still don't have it) Step 3: Add your game to AMD settings (press Gaming tab and press Add button which is on the top right corner) Step 4: After you've added the game, press on the game icon that should appear in your AMD settings gaming tab.
You will have to connect your laptop to an external monitor, and then disable your laptop's monitor. Run Dark Souls, and then access the "PC Settings" menu. Change the settings to full screen, 1920x1080, and disable anti-aliasing. Save the settings and exit to the main menu.

In Nvidia Control Panel, under Manage 3D Settings, navigate to your Dark Souls 3 profile. Under those settings, change "Power Management Mode" to "Prefer Maximum Performance." Dark Souls 3 (PC) - First 15 minutes at 4k/Max Settings. In case anyone wants to know, the game runs at 40-50fps at 4k (max settings) with a single GTX 980Ti. SLI works by appling DS2 SLI Bits, but it adds minor flickering, so I decided to use one card to record the videos. wzoGP.
